I had a similar problem with IE8 and https. When I tried to stream a pdf to a new window, I got a blank html page instead (it worked in FireFox and if it wasn't via. For the record, this error does not only occur with pdf files. I reproduced it with zip files. Any suggestion? I'm not detecting browser, so I send the header for every download.
No side effect seen. Merge branch '2. Defined stable version point of Doctrine. I have a similiar problem: Might there be a general problem with returning files to IE8? That's true. Fell free to open a PR this, since I don't really have the time right now.
